WHAT IS MOFFA'S FARM?

Moffa's Farm is the popular name for a site in Gloucester Township, NJ that may soon be historically named the Robert Marshall Farm.  The site and its history are truly a great testament to the unique settings of Southern New Jersey. The 25 acre Moffa's Farm site is located on Almonesson and Lower Landing Rd.  What makes the forested land special is its placement along the Big TImber Creek, and its historic farmhouse.  The farmhouse is the oldest home still standing in Gloucester Township, and possibly the oldest in Camden County. The land and home are currently owned by Gloucester Township.  Unfortunalety, a majority of Gloucester Township Council members are currently considering making Moffa's Farm into a development of new homes.  Moffa's Farm has great potential for utilization as a historical and ecologically significant recreation space.  Imagine having more land in Gloucester Township where families and citizens could go for canoeing, fishing, walking, running, etc. The value to our lives that preserving Moffa's Farm will provide is impossible to convey. The fight to preserve Moffa's Farm is coming down to its final round, that's why it is more important than ever that everyone speak out against development at Moffa's Farm.
